The United Voice
A Message to the Brotherhood
The launch of The United Voice marks a new chapter in the continued growth of United Afrikan American Men. From our origins at Grambling State University to our expanding presence across campuses and communities, UAAM has always stood for purpose, brotherhood, service, and leadership.
This publication exists to amplify the voice of the brotherhood — highlighting our achievements, sharing our ideas, documenting our history, and inspiring the next generation of men to rise.
Our goal is simple:
To ensure that the work, growth, and legacy of UAAM is recorded and shared.
This newspaper belongs to the brotherhood. Every chapter, every member, and every story contributes to the voice of this movement.
As we grow nationally, The United Voice will serve as the record of our progress and the platform through which our message reaches the world.
The revolution is us.
— United Afrikan American Men
Honoring Women’s History Month
As we celebrate Women’s History Month, United Afrikan American Men proudly recognizes the women whose strength, leadership, and vision have helped shape our communities and our organization.
UAAM also takes this moment to honor all Black women who paved the way for us to thrive — the mothers, leaders, educators, organizers, and visionaries who sacrificed, led, and fought so that future generations could rise.
We give special appreciation to our sister organization, The Society of Distinguished Black Women (DBW). Their commitment to excellence, service, and empowerment has been instrumental to the foundation and growth of our brotherhood. Simply put, without the DBWs, there would be no UAAM. Their support, partnership, and leadership have played a vital role in helping this organization grow into what it is today.
We also recognize our auxiliary organization, The United Queenz, whose continued support and presence strengthen the mission and spirit of our movement.
Their resilience, wisdom, and dedication continue to inspire the work we do as men striving to lead with purpose, discipline, and integrity.
UAAM stands in appreciation, respect, and gratitude for the Black women who helped make our progress possible.
